About JYJ

Jim and Jessica Yance own and operate JYJ Red Angus in the rural community of Haleburg, Alabama. JYJ Red Angus was established in 2006 as a registered Red Angus seedstock operation. Jim and Jessica joined the R.A. Brown Ranch cooperator team in 2006 when the first Red Angus females were purchased from R.A. Brown Ranch in Throckmorton, TX. JYJ Red Angus was built on the genetic advancements through the use of artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and in-vitro fertilization.

Forages, hay, grains, and other small commodities are grown, harvested and mixed as ingredients in feed rations fed daily. The custom feeding and development program has been made possible through the farm’s ability to grow and manage these feed sources.

Jim is the southeast beef specialist for Premier Select Sires. Jessica serves as the ranch office manager. Together they are raising two sons, Tye and Reid. Jim has actively served as the Region 8 Director for the Red Angus Association of America (RAAA) Board of Directors for seven years and serves on the Southeastern Red Angus Association Board of Directors. Jessica is serving on an RAAA committee as well as the office of Secretary/Treasurer for the Southeastern Red Angus Association.

We are also pleased to have launched Lightspeed Enterprises LLC to providing agriculture drone services to the Southeast and beyond.
